Xiangtan Central Hospital is Xiangtan’s largest Grade A Hospitalof First Class. In the past120 years, the medical workers of the hospital have been adhering to the concept of “admiring life and benefiting the people” to serve the general public. In recent years, the hospital has actively promoted the construction of medical consortia, talent team, and modern hospital management system. The comprehensive reform has achieved remarkable results and the development environment has continued to improve.

The exhibition hall of hospital history covers an area of 430 square meters and included four topics.The exhibition combines historical items and records, which condense the development history and main achievements of the hospital over the 120 years since its establishment, and show the footprints of medical workers of the past generations who came to Xiangtan, worked diligently, and made continuous progress.

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the hospital, as the main battlefield for preventing, controlling and treating virus in Xiangtan, has made significant contributions to achieving staged success in the prevention and control of the epidemic, and has been rated as an advanced grassroots party organization in the fight against COVID-19 in Hunan Province. It is displayed as a special exhibition in the hall.
